What does pregnancy conception mean?

Let us try to understand about conception first. Conception mainly tells you that you are pregnant. This conception stage done only when a sperm fertilizes an egg. When there is a vaginal intercourse, a matured man’s sperm floats up through the vagina and then passes through the uterus, which fertilizes the woman’s egg cell. The floating sperm can reach an egg in only 30 minutes, which leads to conception. Once the fertilization takes place, the eggs will settle in the uterus and this process is usually termed as Conception.

Signs after conception

  • Firstly you will notice the monthly periods has disappeared. When you missed your periods, you need to go for a pregnancy test for confirmation. This is all happen after the formation of the zygote, which produces hormonal signals to prevent additional ovulation and menses.
  • You need to keep a track on the menstrual cycle to find the time for conception.


  • The ovulation occurs in the ovaries or in the female gonads, in this cycle ovaries delivers the ova for fertilization. This takes place around 14 day of the menstrual cycle and controls by luteinizing hormone and follicle- stimulating hormone.
  • After the ovulated egg is feasible within the system for 2 to 3 days before it disintegrates. The conception will happen only if sexual intercourse happened prior to ovulation and the timings play a large role in successful conception.

Side effects of conception:

  • When there is a confirmation of pregnancy the women find a lot of side effects such as a feeling of tenderness and swollen breast. The swollen breast seems to be the first symptom in pregnancy.
  • Fatigue, slight bleeding, cramping, nausea, vomiting, headaches, constipation, moods swings and faintness, dizziness etc. are some of the side effects in conception.
  • These are the main symptoms for every woman who got pregnant and the most thing they get increasing body weight day by day and there is a rise in the body temperature.


  • If you are planning for a second-time pregnancy, you and your partner need to follow many rules and diet plans. Your food habits and other habits must change. Stop drinking and quit smoking. Manage your stress levels by spending time together for longer times and having fun.
  • Make sure you and your partner are not in effect with any harmful diseases or hereditary diseases. Keep a check on your sugar levels and your health conditions so that you can make sure you are ready to carry a baby.
  • Consult a health care provider who can guide you through every step of your pregnancy. Watch out for some diseases or problems that can lead to miscarriage. Stop taking those pills and safety measures, which are stopping you to get pregnant.
