How is the tooth formed?

The tooth is made up of 4 layers which include dentin, enamel, cementum and pulp. The outside of the tooth is Enamel which is also one of the hardest substances in the human body. Dentin is just beneath Enamel and is softer than enamel. The layer below dentin is cementum which covers the root of the tooth. Cementum also connects tooth to the jaw bone. The lowest layer is the pulp which is rich in blood vessels and nerves.

Tooth pain is something that should never be taken lightly. Reasons may be many including infections, gum disease, tooth trauma etc. Pain around the teeth may also be a symptom of heart disease as well. Ice cubes are one of the easiest remedies that can relieve you on the affected area within seconds.It is nerve blocker and is also an anaesthetic agent. When you don’t see anything in front of you, blindly apply the ice cube wrapped in a piece of cloth over the affected area.
